Renee Neves

Welcome

Renee is a therapist at Low Country Behavioral Health who works with teens, young adults, and adults in Mount Pleasant and West Ashley, SC.

Sometimes life can start to feel like you're constantly trying to keep up. Maybe your mind never seems to shut off, you're putting pressure on yourself to get everything "right," or you feel like you're carrying a lot while trying not to let it show. From the outside things may look fine, but internally you feel stressed, overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what you need.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, school-related stress, relationship challenges, perfectionism, or feeling uncertain about what comes next, Renee offers a place to slow down and sort through what has been weighing on you. She believes therapy doesn't require having everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes it starts with simply having a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and take things one step at a time.

Renee values helping clients reconnect with their strengths while building tools that make everyday life feel more manageable.

Renee’s Approach to Therapy

Renee believes therapy should feel genuine and personal. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she works to understand each client's experiences, goals, and what feels most important to them.

Her work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients better understand the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sessions focus on building insight while also learning practical skills that can be used outside of therapy.

Renee also approaches her work through a trauma-informed lens and recognizes that past experiences can continue to shape how we respond to stress, relationships, and difficult situations. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, she values the connection between emotional and physical well-being and appreciates how stress can show up in both the mind and body.
