Marcella is the founder of Low Country Behavioral Health and a licensed clinical social worker who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating eating disorders and anxiety disorders. Her practice is weight-inclusive and grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES) principles, meaning treatment is never centered on weight loss or a specific body size.

Marcella has extensive experience treating eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, binge eating, bulimia, ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), chronic dieting, and disordered eating, alongside anxiety, perfectionism, and overwhelming stress. Her work focuses on helping clients build a peaceful, trusting relationship with food and their bodies, and understand the patterns and beliefs, often shaped by diet culture, that keep them feeling stuck.

With children and adolescents, Marcella uses Family-Based Treatment (FBT), collaborating closely with parents so they can play an active role in recovery, restoring regular eating patterns, and supporting healthy growth and development for the whole family.

Marcella creates a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can explore difficult experiences while building practical tools for change. She is committed to inclusive, evidence-based care that helps individuals and families move toward healing, self-understanding, and lasting change. Outside the office, she's currently teaching herself to sew, with hopes of making her own dress one day.
