Leslie Mady

Licensed Independent Social Worker, Lead Therapist

Leslie is the Lead Therapist at Low Country Behavioral Health and works with adolescents, adults, and couples navigate anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and life changes. She provides a supportive and collaborative space where clients can explore what they are experiencing, gain deeper insight into their patterns, and begin creating meaningful change.

Many clients come to Leslie feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, impacted by past experiences, or stuck in patterns that feel difficult to shift. Others may be navigating significant changes in life, relationship stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves or those around them. Leslie works alongside clients to better understand these challenges and develop practice tools for managing them.

Leslie specializes in working with trauma and anxiety and integrates evidence-based approaches into her work, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is a structured therapy that helps individuals process difficult experiences and reduce the emotional intensity connected to past events. This approach can be particularly helpful for clients who feel stuck in distressing memories, emotional triggers, or patterns that continue to impact their daily lives.

In additional to trauma work, Leslie supports clients in developing skills to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and better understand the relationship between their thoughts, behaviors, and experiences. She also works with individuals navigating eating disorders and with couples who want to improve communication, rebuild connection, and navigate difficult transitions together.
